MediaTek launches world's first true octa-cor

Publié le 07/03/2014 à 23:54 par vqeeronicawld Tags : Roofing
Qualcomm's nightmare has finally come true. Earlier today, MediaTek officially introduced the world's first true octa-core mobile processor, MT6592, and the first devices to feature it are expected to arrive as soon as end of year. This 28nm chip packs eight low-power Cortex-A7 cores, and courtesy of the Heterogeneous Multi-Processing use model on top of ARM's big.LITTLE architecture (though it's actually 'LITTLE.LITTLE' in this case), all eight cores can operate simultaneously -- at up to between 1.7GHz and 2GHz, depending on the bin. There are plenty of goodies on the multimedia end. For starters, the MT6592 has an image signal processor that supports 16-megapixel camera modules. Then there's an ARM Mali-450 MP graphics processor clocked at 700MHz, which promises to deliver smooth full HD UI drawing at 60fps, as well as decent gaming performance -- as we saw on an alpha demo of MT6592-optimized Modern Combat 5 (video after the break), which is due March 2014 according to a Gameloft rep. The chip also does video frame rate upscaling to 60fps to reduce motion blur, along with 4K H.264 video decoding plus full HD H.265/VP9 playback -- the latter of which can save up to 40 percent of file storage space. What's left for MediaTek to do is to tackle the 4G space, which is still Qualcomm's stronghold at the moment. According to General Manager Xie Qingjiang, his company will launch its own 4G modem also by end of year, and device manufacturers will be able to start using it alongside MediaTek's quad-core or octa-core chips in the first half of 2014. Judging by how MediaTek went from being the 3G underdog in 2011 to a notable player today (with expected shipment of over 200 million chipsets this year), Xie feels confident about catching up with 4G. Ultimately, it'll also depend on the pricing of the devices using MediaTek's latest chip, and while Xie refused to make guesses, he referred to the affordability of current quad-core MT6589 handsets, so anything is possible.

Here's a Simple Exercise to Help You Begin To

Our reality is felt as limiting on many levels and so many of us here suffer from its limitations. We tend to believe and are by so many religions asked to have faith that the after life is some how going to be a much better experience. In this article I hope to give you that transcendent experience right now while you are very much alive. So if you're up to it please get some paper and a pen or pencil. If you're ready then draw on your paper two boxes about 1 inch square, one on the left side of your page and the other on the right side.Within the left box write the word 'Birth' and in the in the one on the right write the word 'Death'.Now draw an arc connecting the left box with the right box with its convex side facing towards the top of the page.Underneath this arc write the phrase 'My Life Trajectory'.On this arc draw a stick figure of a person somewhere along this Life Trajectory walking from left to right and label it with your name as it will represent you.Now that you've done this let me explain what this represents. Basically it represents each persons' experience of this reality we find ourselves in.As you know we all come into this reality via the 'Birth Door' represented by the box on your left and we all exit by the 'Death Door' represented by the box on your right. In between these 'doors' we walk or 'live' along our own particular 'life trajectory' or path, whatever that may be.What is clear however is that the length of that trajectory is finite i.e. each and everyone of us will eventually encounter the 'death door'.Now that you understand all of this I ask you to see yourself on your trajectory recognizing that you will eventually reach 'death's door'.Notice how you feel about being on this trajectory in such a reality, knowing that the trajectory like a moving platform (what we call 'time') is moving you closer to the door on the right, and write these feelings down.If you're with me you may feel like there's isn't enough time to do all of the things you desire to do, stuck, confined, constricted, frustrated about being unable to slow things down or to stop the progression of time. All of this may lead you to feel helpless and/or hopeless that you will ever feel totally fulfilled. Now I am going to ask you to undertake an imaginary but profoundly transformative exercise. As the stick figure imagine that you decide to jump off of the trajectory that you find your self on. As you do however you also recognize that you are not going to jump onto another trajectory within the same reality as this would simply keep you within the finite reality. Rather you jump off 'all' trajectories in 'this' reality and to some other reality where there is neither a death door nor a birth door. You may wish to depict this diagrammatically on your sheet.Once you've drawn yourself somewhere other than on a trajectory that goes to the 'death door' close your eyes and go within to notice how you feel.Write these feelings down. You may experience some of the following: a sense of freedom, peacefulness, calm, energized, relaxed, uplifted in your heart, joyful, happy and so on.This is the experience of what I call 'Going Home' or Transcendence. How does this feel to you?If it resonates as the truth for you kindly place one hand over your Heart and simply affirm this to yourself and then notice how you feel.I'm sure if you've followed this simple exercise you will know in your Heart what has been said is the answer to all that ails you.To learn or experience more kindly visit my web site.

Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 hits the FCC wit

We've yet to hear more details about the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2's launch this quarter, but a recent FCC filing at least reveals that it might head to Verizon. According to the documents, a particular variant that goes by model number SM-P905V supports Big Red's LTE (4 and 13) bands. Since the 2014 refresh of the 10.1 Note Pro has also passed through the agency with Verizon LTE, the carrier might offer both sizes when the tablets hit the market. Based on the info we got from the gigantic tablet's CES debut, it'll have a WiFi version for those who have no need for mobile internet. Folks set on buying one with long-term evolution speeds, however, may want to cross their fingers for the behemoth to hit their preferred carriers.
